[Elecraft] K60XV Alignment Question

Hi all:

I just completed the K60XV 60 meter module for my K-2.  The alignment
requires adjusting trimmers C1 and C2 on the module to peak received signals
and then xmit power.  You do this first on 60 meters, then again on 40
meters.  When I tried the 40m part, the position of C1 and C2 had absolutely
no effect on either received signal strength or on xmit power.  

What should I be expecting here?  Tnx de Brian W3BW
