[Elecraft] Poor choice of wording - DRIFT

Sorry, I used a poor choice of wording there. I have noticed NO drift on
any received signals or has anyone reported I drifted during a contact. I
have not found it necessary to compensate for any shift in tuning. I just
noticed that my calibration of the 4.00mhz oscillator had apparently moved
for some reason. Since I had just installed the KPA100 I was curious if this
could be the cause.
My PLL reference oscillator range is great, right where it ought to be. I
am familiar with the WWV format and have in the past used Spectrogram to
make sure I was using the proper reference. I recently had experienced an
intermittent in the receiver that plagued me for days, but apparently I
finally cleared that problem. So I recalibrated, this time waiting for the
"tone" to go off to zero beat WWV. And yes, I ran CAL PLL and CAL FIL after
the calibration. :-) :-)
I seem to remember a comment by someone somewhere that a reason for
outboarding the KPA100 was to prevent temperature rise in the K2 itself.
Right now I am very happy with the K2/KPA100 as it is. I will re-calibrate
and see if maybe I moved something while doing the KPA100 install.
Thanks for all the comments and suggestions
