Hi
You should not be getting this much drift. More like 100 hz or less. =
Check the reference oscillator range. If it is more than about 15 khz =
then you may need to change L31 the 12 uh inductor to 10 uh. You may =
need to adjust the value of RA on the temp comp board although this in =
not usually required.

Subject: [Elecraft] K2/KPA100 - Frequency calibration drift.
Before installing the KPA100 in the K2 I calibrated my 4.000 mhz =
oscillator
using N6KR method and WWV (10000.00). It was right on the money (Yeah, =
I
know, but right now I don't have a counter traceable to NBS =
standards).
Today, after being on the air for about an hour, I checked WWV to set =
the
station clock and now I am indicating 1.4khz higher (10001.40).
Is this yet another reason to order the EC2 and remote the KPA100? It =
is
not a big deal, I am not going to get within 3 khz of the band edge =
anyway,
but I am curious.
My S/N is 4028 and I have the temperature compensation mod in place.
