Before installing the KPA100 in the K2 I calibrated my 4.000 mhz oscillator
using N6KR method and WWV (10000.00). It was right on the money (Yeah, I
know, but right now I don't have a counter traceable to NBS standards).
Today, after being on the air for about an hour, I checked WWV to set the
station clock and now I am indicating 1.4khz higher (10001.40).
Is this yet another reason to order the EC2 and remote the KPA100? It is
not a big deal, I am not going to get within 3 khz of the band edge anyway,
but I am curious.
My S/N is 4028 and I have the temperature compensation mod in place.
