KB8I. It appeared in the August, 1988 issue of QST and in some of the =
ARRL
antenna publications including "Vertical Antenna Classics". The article =
is a
"ham-oriented" version of Al's paper: "Vertical Monopoles with Elevated
Ground Systems" published in the Proceedings of the Third Annual Review =
of
Progress in Applied Computational Electromagnetics" by the Naval
Postgraduate School in Monterey, CA in March 1987.=20

There's another somewhat contentious (what isn't about antennas?) =
comparing
a short elevated counterpoise with a conventional multi-wire =
counterpoise by
H.L. Ley, Jr. N3CDR that appeared in "The ARRL Antenna Compendium, Vol =
2"
and was reprinted in "Vertical Antenna Classics".
