www.vanityhq.com is an excellent site to browsing available callsigns.
Also extremely helpful with the application process - explains all the
procedures and gotchas.  I used it to make the change from KB0LUR to
NN0C.

They also have a calculator for determining the length of a CW call in
dits to shave microseconds during a contest.
