[Elecraft] Transmit time question

Hello Elecrafters,
I like to transmit (beacon mode) a multitone signal from a program that 
has no PTT output. Also the level is only 1 watt max, so the vox is not 
working because of the low audio input level.
My question, is there a problem if I set the PTT to always on (with the 
screw from the paddles ;-)) and transmit several hours at max. 1 watt PEP? 
I tried it this afternoon for 2 hours and saw not any problem, except the 
K2  was slightly warm over this 2 hours. I will only be sure that there is 
no problem with overheating the finals.
