The second problem is worse. I cannot get the KPIO2 working either way.
On the TX side, Pin 5 of U4 (TXD) is +12.8 V instead of the -22 mentioned in 
the voltage table. I checked with an ohmmeter, and it looks like this voltage 
must come out of U4. Is the voltage table wrong? Pin 12 of U4 is 0 V instead 
of the +5 from the voltage table. Tracing the signal back to the control 
board, pin 25 of U6 on the controlboard is 0 V as well, which shows the 
connection is o.k. I have switched PORT=ON and TEST does not move anything.
On the receive side the problem is different. I can follow the signal from the 
RS232 port through to U6 on the control board (pin 26). But 'SW01;' is 
ignored by the MMU. The terminal is at 4800 8N2 (also tried 4800 8N1).

Has this behaviour been seen before? The faq is rather short on this subject, 
and the trouble shooting is limited to "check your terminal".
