   Jim, I have observed these stations heterodyning at low single digit 
rates due to changing propagation path lengths.  Phase lock can't be 
assumed.  This wouldn't be of concern in aligning the K2, but if you really 
want to be dead on in another situation...
   I've enjoyed using Spectrogram.  It's another test instrument.  Your 
technique sounds interesting.
