Dave;
Your waveform in Spectrogram is due to lack of averaging in the output. A
while back, I asked the author of Spectrogram to incorporate a better
averaging algorithm and he has added it to the program. The latest version
(Spectrogram 8.7) is very easy to set to an averaging time of more than 10
seconds which can reduce the noise generated ripple to a few dB. With
longer averaging times it is possible to reduce this ripple to a few tenths
of a dB.

Would one of you astute guys please look at this and tell me what's wrong.

http://home.internetcds.com/~barbados/spectrogram.jpg
It's my K2 at 14MHz using FL1 (OP1) on upper sideband.

Source is just band noise.

Is this normal? Do I need a noise generator? Why don't I have a nice peak
instead of a ripply hump?

Thanks!
