[Elecraft] K2SB -- low xmt audio

Sorry, guys...maybe not the most accurate subject choice of words, but =
here's what's going on.....

Built and installed the KSB2 with the Elecraft MH2 Mike.

Installed all the shorting headers plus the 5.6K resistor between pins 1 =
and 6 of the mike connector.

Haven't done the Filter setup as yet as I don't think it would affect =
the outcome.

Switched to SSBA 3 and SSBC 2-1, set to 5 watts, dummy load and received =
xmt signal with other rcvr.

It's there, voice sounds OK but only driving the finals at perhaps 5%.  =
Bar-graph on the K2 doesn't move and the dummy load only wiggles (less =
than a watt)..

It's just like in the '60's at Cal Berkeley when I caught myself talking =
into the back of the mike. LOL.

I'm rummy as this has been a 24 hour marathon, so you know what =
happens.......

So, do I have a problem that CAL FIL will correct?  Or should I be =
hitting 5 watts on voice peaks as it sits now?
