Howdy Folks,
Hopefully you are all doing well. Antennas still in the air and your
K1/K2/KX1 is ready to transceive. I am going to try running the Elecraft
CW Net again tomorrow for all interested parties to join in a see who they
can hear. We'll try 40 meters again for another week or two but soon we
won't need to use it because daylight is returning to the Northern
Hemisphere at 2300z allowing us to use 20 meters for all our activities.
You are cordially invited to tune to 14050 kHz or there abouts at 2300z or
if 40 meters is more to your liking please tune up your rig on 7045 kHz at
0300z. Remember ECN is not a contest so speed is not a criterion for
working any of us. I set my keyer to 18 wpm and don't turn it up. If
someone comes along who is a bit slower I'll add spaces to slow down. If
someone comes along who's faster than that I'll enjoy your skills but may
not be able to figure out what you're sending ;) If I have to ask for a
repeat it's no big deal, I have time. If any of you find there is someone
you'd like to chat with ask either me or any of the other fine QSP
stations out there to hook you up. Or call during the free period at the
end of the net.
The Elecraft net is getting close to the required 100 needed for the
Century Club. I will apply for the award for the net when we get another
15 to 20 serial numbers. The net is also only a few states away from WAS
too. DE, KY, MS, MT, NE, NH, SD, VT, and WY will get us over the top.
20 meters at 2300z Sunday (3 PM PST Sunday) on 14050 kHz or there abouts.
40 meters at 0300z Monday (7 PM PST Sunday) on 7045 kHz or down (I need to
avoid
an SSB net north of the border).
See you then,
Kevin. KD5ONS (Net Control Operator 5th Class).
