[Elecraft] K2 Speaker switch?

Has anyone modified their K2 to add a switch to the speaker so that the 
internal speaker can be turned on/off and still have an external 
speaker going? It would also involve a mod to the rear panel audio 
connector.

If so, where did you mount the switch? I am contemplating such a mod so 
that I can route the audio to an external headphone selector box, and 
can independently switch the speaker on and off. There are a couple of 
places i could mount a small switch, but it would be nice to be able to 
use the same location for a similar switch when I get the KPA100.

Suggestions?
