I completed K2 sn4011 this weekend and it worked perfectly. I installed the
SSB, NB, 160 and tuner modules and each one checked out exactly as perscribed
in the manuals. It sounds great on the air and the receiver is very quiet and
sensitive. It puts out about 15 watts as designed on all bands.

I do have one tip. I first tried to peak the receiver as described in the
manual using the background noise with the pre-amp on. It worked but tended to
result in a broad peak. So I hooked up my Wavetek signal generator to the
antenna input and measured the output with a good audio voltmeter at the
headphone jack. It made a world of difference in aligning the radio. the peaks were
very distinct and sharp. I have no doubt that the final results are
optimized. I know that everyone does not have a good signal generator and Booton AC
voltmeter laying around, but I recommend finding a friend who does and spending
an hour at their workbench doing the tuned circuit alignments in the radio.

Tonight, I begin wiring the DSP unit.
