Hi Jef,
The side tone pitch is controlled by a square wave on the gate of Q5 on =
the
control board. Then Q5 chops up the voltage coming out of OUTB through =
RP7.
If OUTB is low, then there won't be much Tone Volume. If OUTB is high, =
there
should be a lot of Tone Volume. So, see if OUTB pin 1 on U8 goes up and =
down
when you are setting level. If it does, but volume is not changing, =
look for
trouble at Q5 - perhaps a solder bridge between gate and drain (the top =
lead).
If the voltage at U8 pin 1 is not changing, check the connections to U8.
