I agree Johnny:
The biggest difference that I've noticed among the lower and higher cost
DMMs is the speed. The cheaper ones are often just as accurate, but they =
can
take several seconds to produce a reading where the higher priced ones =
(like
my Fluke) produce a reading almost instantly.=20
And the packaging on the more expensive ones is usually more rugged.=20
But, with a little patience and care, the cheaper ones are just fine!
I do keep an old analog VOM around for "peaking" adjustments where the =
input
resistance isn't important and I need to adjust something for a peak or =
dip
in a voltage. A slow DMM can be tough to use in that situation. =20

Nowadays, digital multimeter made by China has already been of good =
quality.
The price is only say USD30 per set depending on available functions.
I got my DMM at a price of USD35 with measurement of inductance, =
capacitance
and frequency counting.
