Hi Jack,

great getting the reply from the "father" of KRC2. It works now!

I made a mistake in my mind: My idea was that K2 <-> KRC2 communication
would take place via AuxBus XOR serial port depending on the comm mode
selected.

Now I learned that communication is taking place partly via AuxBus and
partly via COM port in AuxBus mode.

I have the K2 and KPA100/KAT100 (EC2) set up in two separate boxes. The
KRC2 was connected in pigtail fashion to KPA100's Aux I/O connector. In my
setup this connector only has the AuxBus active. The whole KPA100/KAT100
box is connected to the K2 Aux I/O via the KAT100 CONTROL connector.

I was very happy with this connection as I would need only one short wire
to connect the KRC2 when needed, without the need to re-wire the whole
setup. When not using the KPA100/KAT100 box I just would connect its
control wire to the KRC2.

Now I have to route two long wires over the table to the KRC2.

Nevertheless I REALLY like the KRC2. It's just superior to the other band
decoders available with just unbeatable flexibility and a nice design.
Maybe there will be a future update allowing for all communication running
via ONE bus system? Please put this on the K2/KRC2 firmware wish list :-)

Thanks for Your quick response and have some nice days...
