Jess,

This space was originally intended for a very small speaker. The speaker's audio
output turned out to be too low to be useful, so we needed something else to do
with the space. I had experimented earlier with a 30-meter adapter and didn't
think there was room, but as you can see, it just fits. There was no room for a
socket, but we figured it was better to provide the extra band than to leave it
out just because it needed discrete wiring.
