[Elecraft] 30 meter module and auto tuner for KX1

Was the 30 meter module and afterthought to the original KX1 unit? With =
as nicely fit and engineered as the auto tuner is and all of the add ins =
for the K1 and K2 that I have built, the 30 meter add in for the KX1 =
seems a bit more "kludgy" than I am used to seeing in the Elecraft kits. =
Anyone know?
