[Elecraft] A K2/100 xmtr AGC question?

Hello agn,

Is there a way of making the K2/100 xmtr AGC system less sensitive to very 
small changes in SWR? When I first start tuning up into say my open-wire 
dipole using my tuner within seconds of transmitting 20 watts, the power 
will drop to say 17-18 watts, then slowly drift back to 20/21 output....I've 
been led to believe is normal xmtr AGC action in a K2. Is this correct?

My problem centers around when I'm tuning up my Ameriton AL80A linear, as I 
start the process and tweak the plate and load on the amp my K2 output 
starts to drop then drift up again making it very difficult to tune the amp 
properly. I've never seen this kind of action in my other rigs, so is this a 
"normal" occurrence in the K2? When all is finally tuned it seems to work FB 
then. Is there any adjustment in the xmtr AGC system that would minimize 
this action?

It just appears the K2 is too sensitive to small changes in SWR!
