[Elecraft] Torroid question

If you look at the schematic this is in the RF preamp and you will see
that one winding is connected to the other...so you will end up with
very close to a short. Pad 2 and 3 are connected together so
electrically the two windings are in series...so even if you measure
from the far ends pads 4 and 1 you will have close to 0 ohms. As long
as it read fine out of the board chances are everything is okay.

Subject: [Elecraft] Torroid question
Thanks to all the help from this board, things are progressing well... I
hope.
I do have a question on torroid T6, the bifilar one.
I was extremely careful when tinning the legs so as not to have any
shorts.
The enamel for each goes right to the board.
Soldered in with no problems at all. But here is where I am confused.
When
I test the red and green pads on the bottom of the board, I show
continuity
between the red and green pad on the bottom and the same between the two
on
the top. There are no solder bridges at all and the wires do not short
on
the torroid anywhere.
It doesn't matter what combination I try between all 4 pads, I still
show
continuity.
Is this supposed to be like this?
Tnx
Greg
