Tnxs, Don. As you will in another post, the problem has been solved. I=
 think your hypothesis probably right in terms of first cap meter.

>=A0Just a guess - your cap meter may have too much stray capacity to
>=A0properly measure lower value capacitors - with higher cap values,
>=A0the strays do not add enough to make a big difference. =A0Try the
>=A0meter using no leads, or see if there is an adjustment to zero out
>=A0the stray capacitance.

>=A0Problem solved. =A0I just found another cap meter -- an older one --
>=A0and these 820 caps read 92 pf on this meter. =A0I suspect that's
>=A0close enough for government work. =A0Still not sure why other meter
>=A0was reading some caps ok and not others. =A0Oh well, back kit
>=A0building! =A0Thanks for the help, Wayne and Frank.

>>=A0Hello Carl,
>>=A0C71, C174 and C210 are 82 pf NPO caps marked "82" or "820". The

>>=A0mean C71? I Don't know why you cap meter is measuring .218nf.
>>=A0Since all three 82 pf caps are measuring .218nf then I would
>>=A0suspect somthing wrong with the meter connection, calibration,
>>=A0internal supply, or somthing along that line.

>>=A0I'm just getting back to my K2 construction project after several
>>=A0months of "down time." Right off the bat, I've run into a
>>=A0problem. I can't find the above named capacitors. I have found
>>=A0three small tan colored caps marked 820, but when I check them
>>=A0with my cap meter they all check out as .218nf. Something is
>>=A0wrong here. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

>>=A0P.S. The other side of the caps are marked "K1J" -- if that means
