I have 2.03d firmware. After approximately 6 hours of warmup I carefully
adjusted C22 at WWV at 10 MHz for equal tones between USB and LSB and matched
14913.51 and 4913.51 as precisely as I could get it in CAL FCTR. The 4913.51
would flicker between 50 and 51. I put the counter probe on TP1 (VCO) and
switched to 40 meters and ran CAL PLL. I then put the probe on TP2 (BFO) and ran
CAL FIL for each operating mode (including CW REV). My VFO resulted in being 20
Hz high on 15 MHz. After putting the KPA100 lid back on the K2 it ended up
being 10 Hz high. It will be interesting to see if this accuracy after warmup
will hold in days to come. This calibration method seems to be easier and
more accurate than the other methods. Thanks Wayne. Roy Morris W4WFB
