[Elecraft] KX1

Hi Ken,

Having recently completed the KX!, ATU and just installed the 30 metre
option last night I can tell you that adding the two accessories later on is
no problem.

The KX1 is constructed so that the ATU simply plugs into three plugs that
are installed on the KX1 main board during initial assembly. You remove the
back cover of the transceiver and plug the ATU in...very easy.

I was worried that installing the 30 metre board was going to be something
similar to brain surgery. It is a little fussy, but if you follow the
instructions while building the KX1 regarding component mounting heights
then you wil be OK. Even with poor lighting, poor eyesight and my arthritic
fingers I was able to install the 30 metre board without any problems.

Installing the 30 metre board requires removing the main KX1 board from the
cabinet, but all that costs you is an extra two minutes.

73 and have fun!
