[Elecraft] K2 build problem.

I am just about finished with the K2 with the exception of options. I just
got the covers on and went to test and noticed I have lost my audio and the
S meter is on the highest bar. All tuning seems to function etc. Last night
in previous alignment step I could receive fine on 40.

It is possible I had a small piece of lead near J1 on the control board. I
shook radio and thought I saw something fall out but not sure.

It seems RP1 and Q1 are extremely warm. I have not left radio on for more
than 30 seconds.
I went back to the resistance checks on the control board and everything is
in spec.

Any suggestions?
