At that point, all you are trying to do is verify that the PTT switch
actually switches the K2 from receive to transmit.  In the next step,
you tune in the carrier on an external receiver and adjust R1 for a
minimum.  Don't worry about modulated audio yet--that will come later,
after you have set up the filters for SSB.
