[Elecraft] Building my K2 was so much fun. Now what?

K2 #3806 was delivered Tuesday, and was fully completed and on the air this
morning (4 days later). No problems building this one. I had a small wire
from the BFO coil touching a nearby solder pad that I had to find, but that
was it. All else went together without any problem. But it was a big
comfort factor going into this knowing that I had the safety net of this
list if anything did go wrong. I spent just under 25 hours total build
time. I don't necessarily like winding toroids, but I'm glad I did it all
on this one.
This was really a whole lot of fun. I've not enjoyed my radio hobby this
much for a long time. Now that the building part is over, I guess it's time
to operate for a while.
I have the SSB and Noise Blanker and 160 mtr kits (primarily for the receive
antenna), which I'll add as I get some more time. I'm still debating
between the DSP or Audio Filter options, as it seems there are some who
prefer each of these.
With S/N in the 3000+ range, are there any really important mods that I
should think about making?
BTW, another part of my radio hobby is restoring R-390 and R-390A receivers.
I have some pretty good examples of these at my operating position. They
have continually beaten anything I've had next to them over the years. That
is until now. The K2 was able to pull out a weak SSB signal off 40 mtrs
this morning that the R-390 could only tell was "in there." I'm very
impressed with this radio.
