[Elecraft] Unable to mate front panel to FP board due to mic connector bead size

There were several messages on this subject recently. As I understood it,
Elecraft got in a shipment of mis-punched panels and some of them got sent
out in kits before the issue was discovered.

Contact Elecraft ([email protected]). You timing isn't so good, Arnd,
since they have shut down for the holiday. They should respond Tuesday.

I'm just in the process of building K2 #3500 and I encountered a problem 
during mating the front panel to the front panel board:

It is not possible to fully mate both parts because the microphone 
connector bead has an outer diameter of  approx. 6/8" (18.5 mm) and the 
front panel microphone connector hole has an inner diameter of approx. 
11/16" (17 mm). Anybody encountered this problem yet, is it a known 
problem and what is the solution?
