[Elecraft] K2 very susceptible to motor noise/magnetic field?

Dale, sounds to me like an audio problem . . . and nothing's wrong!  It's
just the fan disturbing the air making the audio sounds funny.  In the
famous Leslie revolving speaker they use for electronics organs, they have a
rotor which spins giving a distinctive warbling sound.  If you move the fan
around near the speaker of your FT1000 you can probably duplicate the
problem there.

OR  I could be totally wrong and it's an interference problem!

I'm a piano tuner by trade, and if there's a ceiling fan operating in the
room where I'm tuning a piano, I have to turn it off or the sounds of the
notes warbles.  This was also a problem I had with callbacks; I tune a piano
just right, then folks call me and tell me that "sometimes" it sounds good
and sometimes it sounds bad.  I've learned to ask on the phone if they have
a celieing fan or not.
