Dale, sounds to me like an audio problem . . . and nothing's wrong! It's
just the fan disturbing the air making the audio sounds funny. In the
famous Leslie revolving speaker they use for electronics organs, they have a
rotor which spins giving a distinctive warbling sound. If you move the fan
around near the speaker of your FT1000 you can probably duplicate the
problem there.
OR I could be totally wrong and it's an interference problem!
I'm a piano tuner by trade, and if there's a ceiling fan operating in the
room where I'm tuning a piano, I have to turn it off or the sounds of the
notes warbles. This was also a problem I had with callbacks; I tune a piano
just right, then folks call me and tell me that "sometimes" it sounds good
and sometimes it sounds bad. I've learned to ask on the phone if they have
a celieing fan or not.
