You might start by checking out your frequency probe. Make sure you
have no shorted connections and that the center conductor and the shield
are inserted into the correct slots in the connector which plugs into
the control board. And of course, make sure you have the probe plugged
into the right test point.

Subject: [Elecraft] Trouble Again!
I'm having the worse luck with radios the past couple of weeks. The rig
I
was using died, so I'm more determined to finish my K2 and get it going.
Ok
here is the story.
I'm on Page 57 in the manual, just starting the Alignment and testing
for
part 2. This is where you hook up the Freq Counter Probe and check the
Oscillator. When you start up your suppose to see something like
12090khz,
hmm I'm not even close I get 440. xx all the way up to something like
445.xx
but its changing so fast its next to impossible to read.
Don't really see anything that tells me what to do, oh it does say if it
changes rapidly you possibly have a problem, duh, ya think?
I called Elecraft and left a message, they are all at Dayton having fun
I
guess! Anyway thought I'd see if anyone was home on the list and could
offer
me some sugguestions? Want a partly built K2?
