[Elecraft] Measuring power supply with KPA100

I'm at that stage in construction of my KPA100 when the PA bias should
be set.  We are told to put the DMM in series with the + line from the
high current power supply.  I'm thinking of pulling off the + lead from
the power supply connector and inserting the DMM there.  Does that sound
reasonable?  Are there any other suggestions.  I don't see how I could
otherwise get it into series with the line except possibly to remove the
line fuse and jury rig something here.  How is this usually done?
