[Elecraft] No LCD display on K2

Well I've gotten to Alignment and Test, Part 1 on my K2 and have hit a =
major snag. All the relays click in the appropriate places and at the =
right times but, although there is light in my LCD display i get no =
readout. Also my bar graph is not working. I've checked component values =
and orientation of the ICs etc and the indicated voltages in the trouble =
shooting section....I'm stumped....any ideas?  One thing I found was =
that neither U1 or U6 were properly seated. (I was being a little too =
careful and had been reluctant to push them all the way down) After =
making sure they were both correct, there was still no difference. =20
     Having an awful lot of fun building this kit and I would like to =
thank everybody who encouraged me. This is a fantastic list.
