I don't think that running a signal through a passive component can
*add* key clicks where they weren't previously present. Passive
components can only reduce the bandwidth of a signal; "adding" key
clicks would be the same as increasing the bandwidth of the signal.

times itself, but what happens to the keyed signal when, after being

it is run through a crystal filter to reduce spurs.  The discussion
asserts
that is where the clicks are generated.
