Hi Ramiro

You might consider a 10 cell NiMH pack as an external battery pack. I use
one with 1800 mAh cells and it lasts quite well. 10 cells are slightly
awkward to charge, but do allow the K1 to run a full 5 Watts output. If you
really want to carry a lead acid battery, they are cheaply available as
replacement burglar alarm batteries in a variety of capacities. Note that
burglar alarm batteries are usually not the deep discharge type and will be
damaged by being fully discharged, on the advantage side they are at least
half the price of deep discharge types (here in the UK 12 volt, 7 Ah types
cost around 12 GBP, or $18).

A lead acid battery could be mounted in a simple DIY (do it yourself) ply
box, an XLR socket makes a neat output connector. Don't forget it will need
ventilation, a fuse and cannot be charged from a car battery charger.
