The MIC connector is wired via a set of jumpers.  The "default" setup is
Kenwood compatible, but it can be wired for Icom, Yaesu, your own personal
"standard" etc.

You might want to download the manuals for the K2 and the accessories you
purchased and review them before the kit arrives.  That way, you'll be able
to concentrate on the information in the manual, rather than feel the
constant tug of urgency to warm up the soldering iron...
