[Elecraft] sidetone missing

hi folks just a enqury before i get out the solder poper hopefuly i dont have 
to                side tone  has gonne missing  k2  3177                      
                                              i have replaced q 5  no joy     
                                                                              
     a/c voltage readings    q5 drain 3.5 milivot should be 2.4 volt  a/c 
volt pin 1 u8  2.4mv       actual not given  dc volt p[n 1 u8 5 volt actual 5 
volt its ok dc  wise                                   do i need to replace u8 
would like your help before i start un soldering                         thanks
