[Elecraft] Alignment and Test Part II - BFO Problem.....

Help!!!

I have got as far as the BFO Test in Part II but the display shows 0000.00 
!!  It says that

a) May not have the Freq Counter Probe connected properly - it is as I get 
reading from TP1 and TP3

b) BFO is not working (see Troubleshooting)

Well I have looked in troubleshooting and have not seen anything in that 
section that shows where to start looking!   I have an external freq counter 
and it seems to bounce around 4100 kHz when hooked up to TP2.  Any 
suggestions on where to start looking?
