[Elecraft] Alignment and Test Part II - BFO Problem.....

Just a small suggestion.  Recheck the probe to be sure the connections
are all good and be sure you have the center conductor of the probe
connected to the right pin on the jack.  As I remember it should go to
the outside pin . .  the pin closest to the side of the rig.  I had the
center conductor and the shield reversed at first and it definitely did
not work very well.  Of course, I also assume you have set the menu
correctly for the freq. counter reading.

Help!!!

I have got as far as the BFO Test in Part II but the display shows
0000.00 
!!  It says that

a) May not have the Freq Counter Probe connected properly - it is as I
get 
reading from TP1 and TP3

b) BFO is not working (see Troubleshooting)

Well I have looked in troubleshooting and have not seen anything in that

section that shows where to start looking!   I have an external freq
counter 
and it seems to bounce around 4100 kHz when hooked up to TP2.  Any 
suggestions on where to start looking?
