Considering these issues and others, I removed the KBT2 from my K2 some 
time ago.  When I camp, I always take one or two gel cels for powering 
other devices and those I can charge in the car while driving from one 
campsite to the next.  They are quite ample for powering the K2 in its 
low-power configuration.
