[Elecraft] Crf, Trace Soldeing Rev A to B Mod Question

Hi all:  I am about to install Crf as part of an A to B modification.
This cap goes between one of the pins of P6 and the far side of a trace
that is cut.  I understand how to cut the trace, but I can't find any
references as to how to solder one lead of Crf to the trace on the far
side away from P6.  I assume I need to scrape the insulation off the
trace but I hesitate to even start with that without having checked in
here.
