Yeah, but legal landing permission and licensing isn't all that easy to
obtain as you undoubtedly know, and it wouldn't count otherwise. 
Hopefully there would be a bit of publicity on the DX mailing lists,
etc., if another trip there was in the works.  

I suspect the FO contact was in Tahiti or the Australs, which is still
a very nice way to break in a new K2!

I still need Clipperton on SSB and would be happy to see another
operation there.  I was inactive for most of the times it has been on
the air and my only QSO was with FO8AJ (in 1954, I think), which was
one of the really early DXpeditions and may have been the first one to
Clipperton.
