[Elecraft] K1 Front panel board "Floats"

I have not finished the radio (I'm current aligning the xmiter), but have noticed that the front panel sort of floats there.  When I push on the band button, I can see the LCD move inward a bit.  It seems that all that holds the front panel in place is the pot nut, but the pot is floating - only held in place by the stiffness of the hookup wire.  Did I miss something in construction?  Should I wedge a little something between the front board and the front D blocks on each side (that the board just about touches)?
