[Elecraft] LCD

Hi Group
Well I am working on the Front Pannel and down to installing the 
LCD. the manual tells me to remove a protective covering on the 
BACK of the LCD. But I can't see any covering. Unless this is 
referring to the grey covering, I didn't want to remove this until I 
had advice.

The way that the manual is worded it makes it sound like the 
protective covering that it is speaking of may or may not be there. 

So I don't know what to do. I am aware that I am not to remove the 
protective covering on the front of the LCD at this point in time. But 
I also can't tell if there is such a covering on the front of the LCD 
either. 

Is it just my well worn out eyes?
