Hi folks -
As a 52 year old learning cw over the last 2 years, I agree 200% with Vic (see below). The best way (for me) to learn cw is to relax and get on the air. Almost all cw ops are more than happy to work with new fella's. Besides - personally I cannot possibly imagine what fun or challenge using a computer to read cw would be. Sending and copying cw is FUN for me :-)
So far this approach has gotten me up to 22wpm and I expect to be able to copy 35wpm at some point (that's my personal goal. Just thoughts from a beginner for those who have been reading this thread and are thinking about learning cw....don't want to get into any negative discussions about this though - just sharing my thoughts.
