This is the last reply I will make in this thread, because I don't want to be
responsible for Eric having to jump in!

I truly believe that it makes me a better CW operator than you, yes.  I am not
claiming to be a better human being.

I'm sure the FCC still has personnel who can copy good bug-sent CW.  I presume
the intent of the regulation you mention is so they can tell who's a ham and
who's a spy.

It has nothing to do with age.  There are plenty of good young CW operators. 
The young or old operators who use computers to read CW will never become good
ones, and by helping them understand this I'm doing them a favor.
