For general purpose logging Dxbase 2004 has full K2 support which is 
maintained by myself.

With DXbase radio support is controlled though an ini file that contains 
the various commands for all the radios it supports.
The changes I made to enable full K2 support should work with older 
versions of Dxbase and if anyone here is using a pre 2004 version of Dxbase 
I will be happy to send my modified radios.ini file to them to try out, 
it's a lot more responsive than using one of the kenwood settings
