Ken and all,
The K2 settings in the manual are not usually good enough for optimum
performance. They ARE usually good enough to get things operational. If
the audio sounds too bassy, it may be because of the filter/BFO alignment.
You stated that you used Spectrogram, but you did not say that you adjusted
the BFOs so the filter passband(s) were centered at your chosen sidetone
frequency. If you did something other than that, take a look at my website

PLL) for information about how to accomplish this feat. There are links to
