Good idea on the grid layout. As an alternative, if you have the downloaded 
version of the manual you can use Acrobat to search the layout for those 
hard to find items. Open the manual with Acrobat, go to the board layouts 
near the end of the manual and use the graphic select function in Acrobat 
to pick the board you're working on, then just use Edit/Find to pick out 
the component location.
