Ah, so I guess it IS working normally.  But it it also normal that it 
does not retune when I replace the antenna with a dummy load (1.0:1)?

I guess what puzzled me was something in the manual re storing the 
settings on page 8:

"ATU settings are stored in EEPROM, and will be recalled instantly 
whenever you change bands".

If it is going to retune anyway, why do this?
