Phil,

The ATU in the KX1 retunes whenever you enter TUNE mode and the SWR is greater
than about 1.2:1. This ensures the best match at times, which is important for
portable operation, where the antenna configuration may change becuase of wind,
or because you moved  ;)

This more agressive re-tuning methodology is feasible with the KXAT1 because the
tune times are so short.
